With a long career in the performing arts as a dancer with the Australian and International ballet companies, David took his first steps into the world of make-up artistry when some of the other dancers would ask him to do their hair and make-up for head shots aswell as before shows. Then after leaving the ballet world, it seemed like a natural transition to explore and translate skills he'd begun developing in this area.

After training with some of the world's best make-up artists in Vienna in 2003 he decided to put his talents to good use. With the experience in front of the camera as a child actor for TV commercials and stage productions, he was able to draw on that understanding of stage, lighting and all aspects of production - as well as what it takes to pull off a great performance - and apply it behind the scenes to help his clients succeed in their chosen field.

"I chose the name Ubeauty for my business because I'm proud of my Aussie roots - but also because I believe beauty is the name of the game in this business. But for me, real beauty is about making people look fantastic on the outside so they feel fantastic on the inside. And that allows their real beauty to shine through in their performances."
